MERCATOR safeLINE® PAD — disposable absorbent underpad
safeLINE PAD is a disposable multi-layer absorbent underpad placed on a bed or other surface. It absorbs body fluids, limits their contact with the skin and forms an effective barrier against moisture and pathogens.
Properties
- non-sterile Class I medical device, CE marked;
- waterproof backing prevents liquid from soaking through;
- top layer of soft, fine non-woven fabric to reduce friction;
- sandblasted PE film backing keeps the pad from slipping;
- diamond-embossed absorbent core with surface channels for even moisture distribution;
- separate absorbent protective frame along the edges;
- dermatologically tested (ISO 10993), free from hazardous substances (REACH).

- hospital wards and nursing homes — bedridden and immobile patients, the elderly;
- newborn and infant care, nappy changing;

Composition
Multi-layer construction (top to bottom): soft polypropylene non-woven, cellulose layer, cellulose pulp with superabsorbent, cellulose layer and a non-slip, waterproof PE film.
- PP non-woven — 12 g/m²;
- cellulose layer — 13 g/m²;
- superabsorbent (SAP) and fluff pulp mix — 22–29 g/m² depending on size;
- waterproof PE film — 21 g/m².

- 40 × 60 cm — absorbent area 30 × 50 cm, min. 1016 ml;
- 60 × 60 cm — absorbent area 50 × 50 cm, min. 1092 ml;
- 60 × 90 cm — absorbent area 50 × 80 cm, min. 1168 ml.
Standards: EN ISO 13485:2016, EN ISO 14971:2019, EN ISO 20417:2021, ISO 10993-1, -5, -10, EN ISO 15223-1:2021; absorption tested to ISO 11948.
