CHEMIDES PULVER is a hygroscopic powder that dissolves completely in water. During dissolution active oxygen is released and, together with an activator, forms peracetic acid, giving the product strong sporicidal properties. Its active ingredients break down into water and oxygen.
Use
For cleaning and disinfecting medical devices, instruments and surfaces, and for high-level disinfection of reusable medical devices: endoscopes, bronchoscopes, laparoscopes, intubation tubes and anaesthesia equipment. Effective against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, tuberculosis bacteria, fungi, viruses (including HBV, HIV, rota- and adenoviruses) and spores.
Directions
- Add 17.5 g of powder for each litre of lukewarm (30–35 °C) tap water.
- Stir for 2–3 minutes until most of the powder has dissolved.
- Leave the solution for 15 minutes to activate.
The activated solution is clear and transparent and may be stored in a closed container throughout the working day. Not suitable for copper, tin, bronze, brass or aluminium surfaces.
